I'm well and truly outnumbered and outgunned now. Yesterday afternoon at 4:43, Esme became our second daughter. I reckon I've got a couple of years before they start ganging up on me.
Esme was born at the Borders General Hospital near Galashiels. After quite a long time before the "proper" labour kicked into action, Becky was admitted to the labour ward and Esme was born with a minimum of fuss (unlike her big sister). After only about 5 or 10 minutes of pushing, she came out quite easily, which was a big relief to her mother. She was 8 lbs and 2 ounces (Emily was 8 lbs 7.5).
We all came home this afternoon (Sunday), which was another change from the last time. She is sleeping and feeding well (and another) so far. It feels a lot different to last year, when neither of us had much of an idea what was going to happen.
Emily isn't too sure what's going on at the moment, and she's a wee bit upset when Esme is getting hugs from Mum or Dad but I'm sure in a couple of weeks she'll have settled down and be used to the new member of the house.
There will be no third child. We're done (and more than happy with 2).
